Marcelle Beaulieu | founder
Marcelle Beaulieu is a native New Orleanian who loves banana daqs, sunflowers and telling stories. She has a PhD from Tulane in Latin American Studies, which she put to good use waiting tables in New Orleans. She landed the position of senior policy analyst for the Speaker Pro Tempore of the Louisiana House of Representatives when he came in for lunch one day and she blocked his exit until he agreed to hire her. Marcelle learned the ins and outs of Louisiana politics over the next four years, during which time she carefully cultivated her rage and frustration. She kept it shelved until one day, some random dude called her an ugly ass turtle on Rampart Street, and she snapped. That’s when she decided she wasn’t going to censor herself anymore and here we are. She currently lives in Treme with her dog Stannley.
